Of all of these, my favorites are Everything Is Figureoutable, Girl, Stop Apologizing, The RUSH Revolution, and Skinny Legs and All. The last one is purely fun, there’s a talking can, sock, spoon and vibrator… if you need a laugh to break you away from reality, this is it.

Everything Is Figureoutable – Marie Forleo is by every sense of the phrase, one fire! Too hot to handle, over the edge, success at it’s finest. I can only hope to someday amount to a fraction of what she has become. This book breaks down your fears, eliminates your excuses and provides you with some of the best honest to goodness advice to kick start your next adventure. Marie is someone I like to joke is my spirit animal. She runs an amazing company, and this book is the epitome of YES YOU CAN! If you’re looking to find your inner voice and power to achieve the next step in life or career, read Everything Is Figureoutable.

Girl Stop Apologizing – Rachel Hollis has helped me with a crucial piece I have always had a tough time with… apologizing. Why do we always apologize? Don’t be sorry for focusing on you! Growing you! Becoming the best YOU you can possibly be…Spinning your own fate, if I dare say so. Rachel distinguishes respecting yourself and your needs and goals, and being part of a family- Mother, wife, sister, daughter. This can easily go both ways, the men in the world can learn the same things. WE don’t need to fit the mold society builds for us. And we don’t have to be sorry for not fitting the mold. Be unapologetically YOU!

The RUSH Revolution – Revving Up Self Happiness, through intentional living – Jessie Harris Bouton is another empowering voice, providing encouragement to intentionally move your life in the right direction. Just like Rachel in doing what you need without apologizing for taking care of yourself and your goals and dreams, and just like Marie in looking up no matter what the situation, you can create the life, dreams and happiness you want: you just need to make the changes yourself. You alone control your happiness. You alone can build the best future, and again… Spin your fate! Jessie has some guidance to intentional living, intentionally choosing to make the changes you need to reach the success you want.

Skinny Legs and All – Tom Robbins will keep you laughing. Seriously; he has a talking can, sock, vibrator… and they go on this epic journey together… I don’t even want to ruin it for you, just pick it up and read it if you need a laugh or a short escape from reality.

Outside of my favorites, there’s a few on leadership, lean construction, sales, advertising. The Purple Cow is a great book on how to stand out, how to be unique and how to sell the purple cow, while The Happiness Advantage helps you decide to be happy and choose your outlook… they’re all great reads depending what you’re looking for right now, and that’s why they make the top shelf of my bookcase.
